Adriana Jaime

 

At Berkeley, Adriana authored an honors thesis examining the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and the role of whiteness as status property in American law. She also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant with the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law at UC Berkeley School of Law, where she contributed to research and publication projects focused on equality and diversity efforts in the federal government and other institutions.

 

Prior to joining Valerian Law, Adriana interned with the Office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee and with the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education. She also worked for two years as an Instructional Technician at a local elementary school in Berkeley, where she led first-grade and third-grade classrooms and facilitated enrichment programming for her students.

 

Adriana is passionate about civil rights, education equity, and expanding opportunities for underserved youth. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, visiting museums, and jazz dancing.
