Eileen Torrez
Legal Assistant
Eileen Torrez is a Senior Legal Assistant at Valerian Law.
Eileen is also apprenticing at Valerian Law with the goal of becoming a public interest attorney. She is fluent in Spanish and has previously worked with youth and families from diverse backgrounds as they navigate the education and social service systems. Originally from rural New Mexico, she leverages her own life experiences and her skills as a case worker to effectively support clients through the legal process.
Eileen graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University in 2013 with a BA in Philosophy and spent 6 years as a community organizer, arts educator and social worker in San Francisco before joining Valerian Law. Eileen is passionate about advancing civil rights for low-income and marginalized communities, and expanding access to education about our legal, social and economic systems for a more empowered workforce.
