Ella Zalon
Paralegal
Ella Zalon is a paralegal at Valerian Law. In 2023, she graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Cognitive Science and a minor in Religious Studies. She recently earned her paralegal certification from California State University, East Bay and aspires to attend law school. Previously, she interned at the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University and the Family Violence Law Center in Oakland. From her childhood in Oakland to today, Ella has sought to be an advocate and source of support to others. In working at Valerian Law, she hopes to carry on a family tradition of advocating for workers’ rights. Having held positions in various jobs — from grocery stores to childcare — Ella appreciates the value of all kinds of work and hopes to draw from these experiences to advocate for others. Outside of work, she plays roller derby with Bay Area Derby.
