Legal Assistant
Nina Salameh is a legal assistant at Valerian Law. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Political Science and Legal Studies. In her time at UC Berkeley, Nina published an original paper exploring how law and media impact forced migration in the UC Berkeley Legal Studies Journal. Outside of academics, Nina was the executive director of the Middle Eastern Retention and Recruitment Center, led programs at the Gender Equity Resource Center, and contributed to research on restorative justice practices being implemented in Oakland courts. Nina’s personal background as the child of immigrants has made her passionate about the law as a powerful tool for change and advocacy. She is excited to support the work of Valerian Law, and outside of work, enjoys reading, painting, and vlogging.
