Helen Halldorsson

Associate Attorney

Helen Halldorsson is an Associate Attorney at Valerian Law, where she represents employees and consumers in individual and class and representative actions.

Her past cases include representing an administrative support professional in an overtime and reasonable accommodation case, representing female airport security workers in securing a class action settlement for alleged pregnancy discrimination, and representing workers at a psychiatric hospital in a case involving claims of understaffing and safety violations.

Experience

Prior to joining Valerian Law, she worked as an immigration attorney representing a variety of clients, with a focus on asylum seekers from Venezuela. She previously completed an international human rights law fellowship at a Bay Area non-profit, where she engaged in advocacy before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. She also served as a law clerk at the Department of Homeland Security in the Chief Counsel’s Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As the daughter of two immigrant parents, she is incredibly passionate about advocating for the rights of those seeking fair and equal treatment in society.

Helen received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and is admitted to practice in California and Texas.
